HV transformer: no-load (iron) loss

No-load loss of the high-voltage transformer, drawn day and night

Unit %

What it is

The no-load loss of the high-voltage transformer as a fraction of the system's reference power. It is drawn at every timestep unless the transformer is disconnected at night (Losses tab, Night disconnect).

Typical values and how to get it

0 when the system has none; otherwise the datasheet no-load loss in kilowatts divided by the reference power, often 0.05 to 0.1 %.
