What it is

A strip at the top edge of the module plane that carries no cells, such as the frame or a gap, in metres. On a tracker it is the band on the edge that is up while the plane faces east, the west edge on a north–south axis. The bands change the shading geometry and the backtracking width.

Typical values and how to get it

0.02 m for a frame. Wider when the racking leaves a gap. If not given: 0.02 m.
