Tracking mode: irradiance optimization
Whether the tracker seeks the angle of most plane irradiance
What it is
Irradiance-optimised tracking on top of the tracking rule: on steps where another rotation collects more plane-of-array irradiance, the tracker takes it. It acts on true tracking and on backtracking, and only on single-axis trackers; a request with fixed racking and this switch on is refused. Wind stow takes precedence. The method is set by Irradiance-optimised tracking: method. The run's summary.irradiance_tracking_steps counts the timesteps whose rotation the option changed.
Typical values and how to get it
Off, the default. Some controllers offer a diffuse or cloudy-sky mode.
