Strings per inverter

What it is

The number of strings connected in parallel on one inverter. With the module nameplate it sets the DC power per inverter, and with the inverter AC rating it sets the DC-to-AC ratio.

Typical values and how to get it

Choose the count so that the DC-to-AC ratio lands between 1.2 and 1.4; that ratio is the main lever on the inverter clipping loss. If not given: 1.
