Racking type

What it is

The mounting type of the array: fixed racks, single-axis trackers, one rooftop plane or an east-west pair of faces.

Typical values and how to get it

Match the design. Rooftop ignores the row-geometry keys: the ground cover ratio, collector width, inactive bands, string strips and row count. East-west cannot carry a bifacial rear side.

Fixed tilted plane = fixed (default): rows of racks at a fixed tilt and azimuth · Single-axis tracker = single_axis: rows of trackers rotating about one axis to follow the sun · Rooftop = rooftop: one tilted plane with no row-to-row shading · East-west = ewf: two faces at the azimuth plus and minus 90°, each at the array tilt, half the modules on each, on one inverter
