Height above ground
Height of the modules above the ground
Unit m
What it is
The height of the bottom edge of a fixed rack, or of the rotation axis of a tracker, above the ground, in metres. Higher modules see more ground and receive more reflected light on the rear. Under the PVWatts 8 fixed layout of the Rear-side geometry step the rear model takes 1 m instead.
Typical values and how to get it
The design value, often 1 to 2 m. If not given: 1.5 m.
