API field

MPPT minimum

What happens when the array voltage falls below the MPPT window

What it is

Selects what the model does when the array's maximum-power voltage falls below the inverter's lowest tracking voltage.

Typical values and how to get it

Chosen on the Model tab.

Values

Hold the MPPT minimum, fitted voltage trim = displaced (default): the array operates at the MPPT minimum, with the current read on the array curve at the floor voltage plus the cable drop, less a small fitted voltage trim (MPPT minimum step on the Model tab); the inverter stops when the open-circuit voltage is below the floor · Hold the MPPT minimum, curve current = clamp: the array operates at the MPPT minimum, with the current the curve gives at the floor voltage plus the cable drop; nothing is delivered when the open-circuit voltage is below the floor
