Shunt resistance at reference irradiance
Shunt resistance at the reference irradiance
Unit Ω
What it is
The shunt resistance of the one-diode circuit at the reference irradiance, in ohms. A low shunt resistance drains current at low irradiance and lowers the low-light efficiency. The model lets the shunt resistance rise as the irradiance falls.
Typical values and how to get it
The PAN value, or the library value. If not given: the module runs on the PVWatts DC model, which does not read it. The one-diode models need it: a request that names one of them without it is refused.
