MPP voltage

What it is

The voltage at the maximum-power point at standard test conditions, in volts. The string operating voltage is this value times the modules per string. The circuit model is fitted through the short-circuit current and the open-circuit voltage at standard conditions and a third point set by the One-diode STC point step: the datasheet maximum-power point, or a maximum equal to the nameplate. With the datasheet point the curve passes through this voltage at the maximum-power current. The De Soto model places its curve at this voltage.

Typical values and how to get it

The module datasheet value. A PAN file carries it too. If not given: the module runs on the PVWatts DC model, which does not read it. The one-diode models need it: a request that names one of them without it is refused.
