API field

Operating point (override)

Operating-point method for an inverter given by library id

What it is

The operating-point method of an inverter chosen by its library or OND file id; it replaces the choice stored with the inverter.

Typical values and how to get it

Chosen on the Model tab.

Values

Operating point on the array's I–V curve = iv_curve (default): the array voltage moves along the array's current-voltage curve to the window edge, the AC limit or the DC current limit, whichever binds · Cap the power, no I–V curve = power_limits: the DC power is scaled down to the DC current limit and reduced to the AC limit without a current-voltage curve; the voltage window causes no loss · Clip at the AC nameplate = ac_clip: the array stays at its maximum-power point and the output is cut at the AC nameplate, with no voltage window, current or temperature limit · MPPT window on the module curve, AC clip = mppt_window: the string voltage is held inside the MPPT window on the module curve, the DC derates reduce the power afterwards, and the output is cut at the AC limit
