Power factor row
Where the loss diagram shows the power factor's cost
What it is
Selects where the loss diagram shows what a power factor below 1 costs: inside the clipping and resistive AC rows, or in its own row after the AC losses. The energy injected into the grid is the same either way.
Typical values and how to get it
Chosen on the Model tab. The pvperf path sets the own row; the PVsyst 8, PVWatts and SAM paths keep it inside. It has no effect at a power factor of 1.
Values
Inside the inverter and AC rows = inside (default): the power factor's cost stays in the clipping row and the resistive AC rows · Own row = separate: the power factor's cost against a power factor of 1 is one row after the AC losses
