What it is
The roll of the device about the horizontal axis that points toward its azimuth, right-hand rule: a positive roll leans the plane toward azimuth + 90, which is west for a south-facing device; negative leans it east. Ignored on a tracker, whose rotation about that axis is its own motion, and on an east-west ridge. Within −45° to 45°.
Typical values and how to get it
0 unless the rack follows a cross slope; then the slope across the row, with the sign of the direction it falls toward. If not given: 0°: the table is level along its length.
