Device strings
Strings on one device of the type
What it is
The number of strings on one device of this type, optional with a default of 1. With the String partitions electrical shading (Model tab), each string is a rectangle of the device that loses its direct light when a shadow touches it. The string layout sets how the strings divide the device. It need not divide the module count or match the racking section's modules per string. With the Sub-module I-V curves electrical shading, each string is an equal run of the device's modules in the order of the string layout. On an ewf type it counts both faces and is even, and each face carries half.
Typical values and how to get it
As built; omit it when the layout gives no stringing. A string that runs over several devices is one string on each of them, or a string named by its placements (scene.placements.string).
