Altitude

Height of the site above sea level

Unit m

What it is

The height of the site above sea level in metres. Elevation sets how much atmosphere the sunlight crosses before it reaches the modules. The model uses it for the air pressure when the weather file carries none and for the air-mass terms of the sky and spectral models.

Typical values and how to get it

Look it up for the location, or read it from the weather file header. Precision to 10 m is enough. If not given: 0 m. The workbench fills it from the weather file or an elevation lookup when the location is set.
