Monthly snow events

The number of days with more than 2.54 cm of snow in each month

Unit days, 12 monthly values

What it is

The number of snowfall events in each month for Townsend's snow model: days with more than 2.54 cm (1 inch) of snow. A monthly mean over several years may be fractional. The model spreads each month's snowfall over its events; a month with no event counts as no snow.

Typical values and how to get it

From the same climate normal as the snowfall. If not given: the snow step is not available.
