SAPM coefficient b

How fast the SAPM temperature rise falls with wind; empty = King's table

Unit s/m

What it is

The coefficient b of King's Sandia (SAPM) temperature model: how fast the module's temperature rise falls with wind speed, per m/s. Used only by the SAPM model. Give a, b and ΔT together. If not given, King's table by racking and module (see SAPM coefficient a).

Typical values and how to get it

Leave it empty for King's table; −0.0594 s/m for open-rack glass/glass, −0.0750 s/m for open-rack glass/polymer, −0.0471 s/m for close roof mount.
