Thermal inertia

Whether the module's thermal inertia is modelled

What it is

Whether the module temperature lags the weather because of the module's heat capacity. Only the Prilliman model has this lag: with the Prilliman model, Off uses its steady-state module temperature at every timestep. The Faiman, NOCT and SAPM models, chosen on the Model tab, are steady and ignore the switch (both NOCT options); the Fuentes model carries the module's heat capacity itself and ignores it too.

Typical values and how to get it

On by default; keep it on.
