Model option
Horizontal direction
Each ground direction read at the angle of the horizontal direction with the same azimuth
Inputs used: Plane tilt
Method
Each direction of the ground in front of the plane keeps its own weight, the cosine of its incidence angle times its solid angle. Its angular response is read at the incidence angle of the horizontal direction with the same azimuth (1), not at its own incidence angle. On a plane tilted 35° with the Fresnel curve for anti-reflective glass the ground factor is 0.944, against 0.830 with the true angles. A plane tilted less than 2° sees no ground, and its factor is 1.
