Model step
Best plane angle search
How the search toward higher rotations scores its steps
Inputs used: Best plane angle search, Irradiance-optimised tracking: method, Backtracking, Rotation limit (symmetric)
What it is
The best plane angle method runs two searches from the tracking rule's rotation in steps of 1°. This step sets how the second search, the one toward higher rotations, scores its steps. The full climb scores every step with the irradiance the method compares. The PVsyst 8 settings score the second step of that search as PVsyst 8.1.5 does. The step has no effect unless irradiance-optimised tracking uses the best plane angle.
Options
- Full climb: each search climbs while the next step gains
- PVsyst 8 settings: the second step of the second search loses the beam and circumsolar that rows at a ground cover ratio of cos 45° would shade
