Reference / IV shading current scale
Model option
Leave the curve unscaled
The array curve keeps its unshaded current under electrical shading
Inputs used: Electrical shading effect, Fraction for electrical effect
Method
The electrical shading loss is subtracted from the array power in its row, and the array's current-voltage curve keeps its unshaded current. The maximum-power current is the unshaded one, so the loss in the DC cables and the cable voltage drop are computed at that current. The inverter finds every operating point away from the maximum-power point on the unshaded curve. On a bifacial array the rear-side mismatch still reduces the current.
