Model step
One-diode maximum-power point
How the maximum-power point of the one-diode curve is found
Inputs used: Open-circuit voltage, Short-circuit current
What it is
The module and the array work at the maximum-power point of the one-diode curve unless the inverter moves them away from it. This step sets how that point is found at every timestep. The point gives the module power of the loss rows from the array nominal energy to the array energy at the maximum-power point, and the voltage and current the wiring loss and the inverter read. It is live with the Mermoud one-diode model.
Options
- Exact maximum: the maximum of the curve's power
- 41 voltages and a parabola: the curve's power at the vertex of a parabola through the largest of 41 voltages and its neighbours
