Reference / Nameplate schedule

Model option

Active power

The schedule caps the active output as it stands

Inputs used: Ambient derate schedule, Nameplate is apparent, Power factor, Ambient nameplate schedule

Method

The schedule is active power. Its value at the ambient temperature caps the active output, and so does the nameplate times the power factor (1). The operating-point rules of the Inverter operating limits step hold the output to the lower of the two.

The math

  1. AC limit
Pac,max(Tamb)=min⁡(Psch(Tamb), PF Pnom,inv)(1)P_{ac,max}(T_{amb}) = \min\big(P_{sch}(T_{amb}),\ \text{PF}\,P_{nom,inv}\big) \tag{1}

where

Symbol Meaning Unit
Pac,max(Tamb)P_{ac,max}(T_{amb}) the inverter's own AC limit at the ambient temperature W
Psch(Tamb)P_{sch}(T_{amb}) the inverter's ambient nameplate schedule read at the ambient temperature, linear between its points, no bound without a schedule W
TambT_{amb} the ambient temperature °C
PF\text{PF} the power factor. When the inverter nameplate is apparent power (Losses tab), else 1 —
Pnom,invP_{nom,inv} the inverter's AC nameplate VA
