Model step
Grid limit ceiling
The inverters' output under the grid power limitation
Inputs used: Grid power limitation, Grid limitation at, Grid limitation: account as separate loss, Grid limit ceiling
What it is
Under a grid power limitation the inverters bring their output down to a ceiling (Grid power limitation step). This step sets how far the inverters run and where the AC losses are taken on the timesteps the limit binds. It changes how the energy the limit removes splits between the inverter's power-limit loss, its efficiency loss and the AC loss rows. The energy injected into the grid stays at the limit. It is live with a grid power limitation above 0 kW.
Options
- Run to the ceiling: the inverters run to the ceiling, and the AC losses are taken there
- Run 0.2 % above the ceiling, cut back (PVsyst application): the inverters run 0.2 % above the ceiling, the AC losses are taken there, and the output above the limit is cut
