Model step
Where the correction acts
Before or after the cell temperature
Inputs used: Spectral application, Spectral air mass, Air-mass cap, Station pressure, Altitude
What it is
The spectral modifier of Lee and Panchula always multiplies the irradiance that the module model converts. The cell temperature is computed from an irradiance too, and this step decides whether it is computed from the corrected or from the uncorrected irradiance. The modifier then enters before the cell temperature, point A of Figure 10, or after it, point B. The choice also sets the air-mass formula and what the spectral row of the loss diagram measures. The step is live only while the spectral correction is Lee and Panchula.
Options
- After the cell temperature: the correction on the module model's irradiance, the cell temperature from the uncorrected irradiance
- Before the cell temperature: the correction on the effective irradiance, the cell temperature from the corrected irradiance
