What it is
A system stops now and then for failures, grid outages and maintenance, and the energy it would have delivered meanwhile is lost. The loss can be entered as a flat fraction of the energy, the expected value of random stops spread over the year, or as shutdown periods placed at given dates. A period costs more or less energy depending on the season and the hours it covers.
Options
- Flat fraction and periods: shutdown periods and a flat fraction of the grid energy
- Do not model: no unavailability, with the entered values kept on the Losses tab
